Unusual Cloud pattern observed by Satellite
Cloud Wake formation observed by MODIS
Look at the 'V' shaped cloud free region.....! |
The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this natural-color image of the Juan Fernandez Islands on April 29. |
It is an unusual pattern of wake formation in clouds.....
2 small islands off Chile produced this big effects in the atmosphere.
It's all part of Fluid dynamics + atmospheric physics.
The islands create obstacles to wind thereby creating a giant V shape of cloud-free air.
